Designated as a "critical" poultry breed by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy,
the Salmon Faverolle is a hearty, calm and attractive chicken.  Known for their feathered,
five-toed feet, the roosters, in particular, have lovely plumage.  
The hens lay brown eggs and are considered a dual purpose bird.  Ours roam free-range in
the pasture during the day and spend nights in their coop.
